Unfortunately not up to the usual standards of Delphi. The formatting is a mess, especially the footnotes - which are simply presented inline with the text. I hope real footnotes can be included (because there are a lot of them, and the current presentation does not make for easy reading.

Delphi Complete Works of Edward Gibbon Illustrated Series Five Book 15 eBook Edward Gibbon Reviews

Lots of Gibbon's footnotes contain quotes from Greek authors in Greek. The Delphi Gibbon not only doesn't give the Greek quotes, but leaves them out with no indication anything at all has been left out. I've seen editions of other authors which had Greek quotes successfully reproduced. Delphi's own Ruskin collection gives gibberish wherever Ruskin quotes Greek, but their Gibbon doesn't even give gibberish, just leaves out the Greek and doesn't tell you it's doing that. Its Latin quotes -- and there are thousands of those -- are given, all right, but not in italics, which can be very confusing.

All in all, a careless job. There are lots of print Gibbons around that don't cost too much. Give Delphi's version a miss.
The fact that anyone could rate any Delphi Complete work less than five stars is simply beyond my comprehension.
a great classic! almost as good as Vikings v. D. Trump---a real skull-splitter!
Concise to say the least
Best yet. Practically no typos, at least in the bits I've read.
Positioning of footnotes is cleverly done, so that you can read or ignore as you wish.
.For my view of Delphi, see comment on D Jane Austen
